Just When You're Ready to Kill Them...

...they do something like this:

I was walking past Jack's room the other night and he was lying flat on his floor, clearly about two minutes from sleep. (Yeah, he sleeps on the floor a lot. And the living room couch. And the living room floor. And anywhere but his bed.)

When he saw me, he didn't move, but his face brightened and he said, "You're my best friend."

  3. ooooh so sweet.

Boo did the opposite the other day. I was all warm and fuzzy and in the moment of his gorgeousness and then I wanted to kill him.

Kids gotta learn, piss Mummy off and THEN be cute!

  4. It makes all the hard work and feelings of hopelessness all worth it doesn't it. Cherish and savour the moment.

  5. That reminds me of the time one of mine, while dad was away, asked if fathers died, did sons get to marry their mothers...and a full proposal...if dad dies, will you marry me? They have no shame.
