The Case of the Missing Diaper

This morning when I lifted Quinn out of his crib, his butt seemed a little lighter, a little more there than usual. Then I realized why. Even though he was wearing his pajama pants, he wasn't wearing a diaper. We looked and couldn't find it anywhere.

It hadn't slid down his leg, it wasn't under or behind the crib, and it wasn't wadded up in his blanket. The dog hadn't found it, eaten part of it, and then thrown up the rest on the living room carpet.

The only explanation I can think of is that Alex forgot to put a diaper on him when he put Quinn to bed last night.

On the plus side, he stayed dry all night.

Again: ?!?!?!?!

  1. LOL, that is a good one! That's even better than Aiden waking up one morning with his diaper on BACKWARDS!! (My FIL had put his bedtime diaper on--not sure how he managed to put the tabs on the backside without realizing that was really messed up!)

  2. Oh I remember doing that! Of course My daughter was a baby baby and I was sleep deprived and it was like 3 in the morning and well I just totally forgot to put the diaper on. (of course I was woken up about 30 minutes later by a soaking wet baby and crib....ahh memories.

  3. You are well ahead of the curve dearie.

This is my calling card or link"Whittereronautism"until blogger comments get themselves sorted out.

  4. Wild. Absolutely wild. Would have loved to be a fly on the wall when you mentioned it to Alex this morning. . . was he as stunned as you?

(And is anyone else noticing the change Blogger just made? I'm going to try to sign in with my real wordpress ID. . . we'll see if it works.)

  5. Oh my gosh! How great is it they he was still dry!??!? That would never have happened when my kids were in diapers. Mistakes are always punished here, I would have woken up to a wet and poopy baby who decided to fingerpaint or something. That's MY luck.
You must have been due some good karma!

  6. That is pretty funny - and nothing makes you feel better about the day than realizing you avoided a big wet mess :^)

  7. I am j-e-a-l-o-u-s! But impressed! :-)

  8. wow, diaperless AND dry? Maybe not. You know that warm wet spot you stepped in about two feet away from his bed? That wasn't left over from last night's bath towel... ;)

  9. This is very funny on one count and quite the accomplishment on the second count.
