So Good, You Can't Eat Write Just One

If you're thinking that the the blogosphere needs a new blog just like a packrat needs more junk, then you're in luck!

I have been on a half-assed mission of late to declutter my home. I recently decided to whole-ass it and really go to work. I'm documenting my progress over at Stimeyland's new offshoot, The Junk Pyramid.

The Junk Pyramid is like the food pyramid, only instead of eating six servings of bread every day, I'm getting rid of six servings of clutter every day.

You can get to The Junk Pyramid by clicking on that button you see in the sidebar there to the right.

That is, if you're interested in things like watching the minutiae of someone else cleaning their house. Alex likes it. But he lives here.

  1. You Go Girl! I've been sloooowly doing it in my house too but need some motivation. Maybe watching you will kick my butt into action!

  2. Congratulations! A good start. The way I clean things out is to move every couple of years. Nevertheless, we still have much more than we need (If you could look at the bill for storing our household items you would know). YM

  3. Oh you are a brave brave woman! I get very overwhelmed when it comes to all the things that don't have a home in my house. Sigh-h-h.

I told my daughter that if she goes through the boxes in the garage and puts together a garage sale this summer - she can keep the proceeds. That's how badly I want it gone - and how badly I don't want to be the one dealing with it.

  4. I LOVE DECLUTTER PICS! I have diiiiiedddd and gone to heaven. This is even better than "Neat," "Clean House" and "Clean Sweep" combined!!!!

  5. I love this--what a great inspiration. De-cluttering is one of my favorite things! Although we still need to clear out the boxes we have never even unpacked since we moved almost a year ago. I am pretty sure if we haven't needed whatever is in them by now, we don't need them at all.

  6. I love that there are so many of us declutterers out there! (Is that even a word? Blogger doesn't seem to think it is.)

  7. Great! Definitely support (morally) you all the way

  8. OMG!
    The Junk Pyramid! Hilarious.

    I also LOVE the Whole-Assing it. I am FOREVER calling The Man the Half-Asser b/c, well, he's a half-asser.

It's a trait that seems to have *hem* made it through the genetic pass-down as The Little Girl has decided there's no need to learn to crawl for real when getting there is much faster scooting around on her belly.

Anyway. I'll quit hijacking your comments now. I'm on my way to the pyramid.

  9. Wow. I need to do that. Maybe I'll find the floor again.
