Thanks For the Free Medical Advice!

You know you're desperate when you start asking for medical advice on the internet. I mean, surely the internet wouldn't give me bad medical advice, right?

Most of you suggested I go see a doctor and beg that doctor to fix my ears. And I did. (Eventually. It's a long story that I'm not going to go into now, but this ear congestion episode has led me to switch doctors.)

I just choked down the four pills I have to take every 12 hours (antibiotic, decongestant, and acidophilus). I'm hoping that the miracle of modern medicine will greet me tomorrow morning in the form of ears that are usable for their intended purposes: hearing and balance.

Thank you, everyone, for all the good and kind advice!

Hope you feel better soon! Last time my ear clogged like that and wouldn't clear, I had a raging ear infection (who knew? Didn't hurt at all). Started antibiotics and 2 days later felt great.

BTW, I've always heard you shouldn't take acidophilus or eat yogurt at the same time that you take an antibiotic since the drug would kill the bugs. Try so space them apart a few hours.

Yes! Space apart the acidophilus and the antibiotic. I have quite a bit of experience in the acidophilus/pro-biotic arena because of recurrent ductal yeast with DD#1. Also try to take acid/pro with and without a meal, since the little research there is seems divided on which is better.
