Animal Camp, Pants Optional

Camp Stimey was put on hold last week because we had way too much to do in a short week to try to cram anything else in. So we lost mini-golf/bowling camp.

But we did go mini golfing on Sunday. Fortuitously, Quinn was wearing plaid pants.

Anyway, we jumped back into action today with Day One of Animal Camp. Or “Animal Farm,” as I erroneously called it to a friend. Although, honestly, that’s probably a more descriptive name for Animal Camp with Team Stimey. (Guess who’s going to be overthrown.)

Today was pets. Mostly this involved Jack and Quinn letting the dog lick the inside of their mouths. But really, that happens most days.

What we really did was color pictures of our pets. (Here’s where the “pants optional” comes into play. Obviously.)

They turned out pretty well. (Jack on top, Quinn in the middle, Sam on the bottom.)

(Feel free to let me know that I’m the crazy blogger boring all of you by posting photos of my children’s artwork all the damn time. Or avert your eyes from the photos.)

We had a full, non-animal day planned, so coloring plus stories at circle time was pretty much animal camp for today.

Tomorrow we’re studying insects. We’re going to see if the ants are still alive.*

* They are. So far. Hopefully they’ll last until Ant Camp.

  1. I can’t tell you how much I’m loving the Camp Stimey stories. Also, was that Quinn in a non yellow shirt?

  2. Yay, Kristen. I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one.

And, yes, Jenni, Quinn is wearing a non-yellow shirt! He will sometimes wear a blue shirt if it has a basketball on it.

  3. Your guys are such great little artists! We love seeing their masterpieces! Wish I could get my little guys into coloring…

  4. Animal Farm – heh. That’s just jinxing yourself.

You are so ambitious with the Camp Stimey! I can’t even manage to get off the computer long enough to pull out a coloring book!

  5. I could always send you some more ants from here if need be. Let me know. ;)

  6. There’s always room for more campers!

And, C, no more non-native ants. I just cannot handle the responsibility.
