I can't be a good parent today. I don't know what it is, but I'm a nightmare. And so are the little horrors.
And I'm tired and my neck hurts.
I have to drag all three kids to Jack's OT soon.
I'm annoyed.
I don't know what to make for dinner.
I have a headache.
If I hear any more whining or crying I am not sure I can be responsible for my actions.
Ted Kennedy is dead.
Something in the trash smells really bad.
This is, like, the worst day ever.
(Did I miss anything?)
You missed the fact that my water is off and I have two dirty kids and a washing machine full of clothes I need to pack for vacation tomorrow and they "hope" it will be back on by 8:00pm. Granted, this affects me *slightly* more than it affects you, but still. NO WATER. Am grumpy.
ReplyDeleteDude, CALL ME.
ReplyDeleteI SO would have watched Sam and Quinn for you.
Sigh. We all have these days.
I hope tomorrow is better!
ReplyDeleteHey, wow, you are human! After all the Camp Stimey posts, I was thinking you were WonderWoman. Thanks for making me feel normal again :-) Hope things get better soon.
ReplyDeleteSeek chocolate immediately.
ReplyDeleteHang in there.
Well, first off, you totally missed this:

Good thing the song is totally toned down by the dancing dudes.
I love you so much. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOur week has sucked ass as well. I think it has something to do with it being the last week before school starts and the impending return of some normalcy and routine and schedule.
ReplyDeleteAt least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
You know what I love? That goodfountain said "sucked ass" on your blog.
ReplyDeleteBut I digress.
Yes, we all have these days. Tomorrow will suck ass less. I think. Maybe. I guess we'll know soon enough.
Sigh back at ya. Sorry you're having a day. Mine was Monday.
ReplyDeleteToday was a good day, but I have worn out my lungs with the sighing this week.
ReplyDeleteIt's time for a pitching change. (Coming next week!)
My vote is for cereal for dinner... we all do it... don't worry.
ReplyDeleteHope tomorrow is better!!
I agree. We ALL have those days. Those are the days to let them watch a LOT of TV (or eat a lot of sweets or whatever it takes) and eat frozen pizza and hope that tomorrow will be better. Wishing you a cheerier tomorrow. . .and hey, school starts next Monday, don't forget.
ReplyDeleteI hope you were able to get takeout for dinner, sounds like you needed it! My day like that was Saturday when we were driving home (Philadelphia) from Myrtle Beach. Before we left, my 5 year old woke up throwing up with a fever (no idea how high, thermometer was at home). Then on the way home, we got stuck in traffic for two hours AND it rained the entire day. Started letting up as we turned onto our street at 11:30 pm. Tomorrow has to be better.
ReplyDeleteI have had to apologize to everyone I met today for sucking them into my "vortex of doom" today. I am sorry it caused you to have a sucky day too. It has gone away now and will not be back to bother you again.
ReplyDeleteGive them cold cereal for supper, pop in a movie, and call it a night! You're always a great parent... you deserve a night off!
ReplyDeleteNope. I think you got everything. That sounds just like my day.
ReplyDeleteWhat would make it a really bad day would be if there had been no wine.
ReplyDeleteI hope today is better.
Yuck! I think the crappy day syndrome is going around. I have it, too. I like the cereal for dinner idea (although ice cream for dinner is good on days like this, too...hey it has calcium in it, it's cold, and fun!) Don't be so hard on yourself. You are always a good mom even when having a bad day. see you soon.
ReplyDeleteDamn! Don't you wish you could just say "Pass." on some days??
ReplyDeleteHang in there. :)
Enjoyed reading your post (since this week I had a "The World is Ending" type day and misery loves company). Also enjoyed reading all the comments. Vortex of doom indeed. Whew.
ReplyDeleteI'm having a day like this today only nothing in my trash smells because my mother cleaned my house from top to bottom and that included scrubbing out the trash cans. But otherwise? I feel you sister.
