Dipshit Friday: The Twitter-IS-Useful Edition

I’ve noticed that when I post things on Friday that I typically get about one comment. Which leads me to believe that no one reads me on Friday and that I am free to reveal my most nerdy sides. Maybe that will be a regular feature here: Dipshit Friday.

My nerdy tidbit for today is that I am a huge Survivor fan. I never miss it. I didn’t Tivo season three because Sam had just been born and I figured that I wouldn’t have time to watch it. Or something dumb like that. I’ve regretted it ever since. Stupid newborn.

For those of you who also religiously watch Survivor (both of you), you know exactly who Coach is. Now, I’m not going to say that I’ve ever rooted for Coach to win, but I AM always endlessly entertained by him.

I remembered this after I saw Nicole‘s tweet roll by on Tweetdeck yesterday.

Ever the asshole, I immediately responded.

Before too long, Nicole tweeted again.

And, voila!

The Dragonslayer!

I love me some Twitter.

Also, I wrote a post I’m pretty proud of over at Autism Unexpected: How to prepare for an IEP meeting.

If you’re so inclined, you can also head over to Hopeful Parents to find out what Quinn is up to or go over to DC Metro Moms to find out why I’m looking forward to August 30. (Three guesses, first two don’t count.)

  1. I just had that same thought about Friday posting earlier today. I thought “If I post this today, I’m not going to get any comments. No one seems to read on Friday.” Of course, you commented on my blog and now I’m commenting on your post, so maybe we can turn this whole “No Comment Friday” thing around!

  2. I saw the photo, and thought “Is that *Coach*?!” That is totally awesome. We’ve only recently started watching Survivor, but I did see most of that series.
There are many days I don’t get any comments, but I’ve noticed that my readership numbers dip over the weekends. I might not comment here every day, but I’m always reading! :-)

  3. I LOVE Survivor, and have watched it every season except for Season 4. Coach cracks me up! This season is really interesting, don’t you think?

  4. I had no idea that we had a guilty pleasure in common. I have never missed an episode since it started (including the two I watched while in the hospital after the birth of each of my kids…one of those was with a hospital room filled with friends and pizza…the nurses loved me. Survivor Party at Holy Cross Hospital…woohoo!).Coach cracks me up. Although I didn’t particularly like him, I am sad that he is gone. He provided some interesting moments.

  5. Love the Dipshit Friday idea. Make a button for it (immediate thoughts include a kid with his finger up his nose) and we can all do it!

  6. I love Survivor too! The only season we missed was the Catocins (sp?) so we missed Coach the first time around but found him particularly interesting. Wish he hadn’t been voted off!

  8. Excellent. Trying to figure out how to turn my “survivor” weekend into an SV moms post. I was on iPhone only all weekend so just saw this. Seems most women really hated the guy (‘cept for his bod, perhaps :) I now have a video of him conducting a symphony too. He is a total celebrity in his small town, with a “wadewatch” column and everything. Nicole
