I’m pretty sure, even though several of you said you were interested in meeting up Friday, that I have made this week’s meet-up too hard to get to for almost everyone.
Incidentally, dairy farms tend to be located in the north forty, as far as I can tell. I’ve chosen South Mountain Creamery (thank you, Mary Elena!), which is an hour away from my house. If you’re willing to venture out to the Middle-of-Nowhere, Maryland, we’d love to see you tomorrow!
If you’re not ready to be quite so Hard Core, I promise that future meet-ups will be closer. At least closer to me.
Team Stimey is going to try to be there by 2 p.m. Milking starts at 1:30. Baby-calf (yes, I know it’s redundant, but that’s the term the farm people used) feeding starts at 4, and apparently the public is invited to participate. Ooooh! Baby calves!!! They might be even better than baby pigs.
The farm is located at 8305 Bolivar Road in Middletown, Maryland. Unless I update here or on twitter (@Stimey), you can assume I’ll be there. If no one can make it, we’ll just feed the baby calves all by our lonesomes and be very happy doing so. If someone does show up, we’ll be thrilled to see you!
